Assistant Principals

Hello Aledo Families,

I’m Ashlee Hammond, and I’m proud to serve as an assistant principal at Aledo Middle School. I’m a Parker County native from Weatherford, Texas, and a graduate of Texas Tech University. This is my 16th year in education, and I’ve had the privilege of teaching in Aledo, Frisco, and Kennedale ISDs before spending the last six years as an administrator in Aledo ISD.

Supporting students, teachers, and families has always been at the heart of my work. I’m passionate about building strong relationships, creating a positive learning environment, and doing what’s best for kids.

My husband Cody and I live in Willow Park with our fun and energetic five-year-old son, Sawyer. I’m thankful to live and work in a community I care so deeply about, and I look forward to connecting with the students, staff, and families of AMS. I'm Liz Shifflett, and I'm excited to continue serving as an Assistant Principal at Aledo Middle School. Before joining the campus administration team, I spent several years teaching sixth-grade math at McAnally Intermediate School and Aledo Middle School. Prior to Aledo ISD, I served as a campus instructional specialist, math lead, and classroom teacher in Killeen ISD. I earned my bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University and my master's degree from Texas A&M–Central Texas.

One of my favorite parts of being an assistant principal is getting to know our students and watching them grow throughout their middle school years. I believe every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and challenged, and I value the strong partnerships we build with families and teachers to help make that happen.
